Bright Beaver is the brainchild of Don and Jay, created to help people around the world learn English more easily. In addition to producing informative videos for the internet, they offer online English lessons — either individually or as a duo, especially when an interactive bilingual (English + Mandarin) session is needed. You’re welcome to book a free mini lesson (around 20 minutes) as a trial. The project was launched in Ontario, Canada, where Don and Jay currently reside. They're dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.
Don holds a master’s degree in education and brings extensive experience teaching learners of all ages. His friendly, practical approach puts students at ease and helps them grasp the material and connect it to everyday life. During his leisure time, Don enjoys music, media, and travel. He describes himself as a lifelong learner and looks forward to forging new connections through Bright Beaver.
Jay has worn many hats — from teaching ESL since 2005 to building full-stack websites and developing software — all backed by degrees in English Literature, Linguistics, and Computer Science. He has supported thousands of students across China (including Hong Kong), Turkey, South Korea, and Canada, with dozens going on to attend top 100 universities worldwide, including Ivy League schools.
